Handling & Safety Precautions

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Wear splash-proof goggles, face shield, heavy-duty chemical gloves (nitrile or rubber), and acid/alkali-resistant protective clothing.
• Dissolution Caution: Always slowly add solid flakes into water with continuous stirring. Never add water directly to flakes, as this can trigger violent localized boiling and caustic splashing.
• Dust Control: Ensure local exhaust ventilation is active during handling to minimize airborne dust inhalation.

Common Formulations & Mechanics

• Industrial Heavy-Duty Degreaser: 5%–15% NaOH + Builders (Sodium Silicate/Phosphate) + Non-ionic Surfactants. Hydrolyzes fats, oils, and grease deposits on metal surfaces, converting insoluble greases into water-soluble soaps.
• Drain Opener / Pipe Cleaner: 20%–50% NaOH Liquid or Granular Formulations. Rapidly breaks down organic matter, hair, and grease blockages through rapid exothermic alkaline hydrolysis.
• Acidic Effluent Neutralizer: 10%–20% NaOH Aqueous Solution. Neutralizes free acids in industrial wastewater to achieve target discharge pH (6.5–8.5).
